Yes, we are speaking about irony. I hear you don’t have that abroad. It is growing on trees here you know. It is our biggest export product. After the IKEA-catalogue. Before that we spoke about charter… No, we did not, but you wouldn’t know since you don’t understand swedish. So, speaking of charter. I have never been on a charter vacation but I have heard about it. You are pissed because there is not as much sun as you were promised, you drink a lot of alcohol, you stay in a lousy room in an area where there are no natives and you go out to the even lousier clubs, called The Cave or something, trying to mate with these natives, or in worst case someone of your own kind. Pretty much like being an exchange student in Sweden, only the club is called Värmlands.

Another funny thing with charter is that you don’t speak with the natives. Instead, all your former enemies become your best friends. The Swedes who go abroad will speak to the Norwegians, the Danish and maybe even someone from Skåne. The French and the Englishmen who come here will be friends… No, they won’t. That was a bit of irony for you. But anyway, you don’t speak to the natives. Time to change that! If you have made the effort going all the way to this godforsaken country, with all the polar bears and irony, take the chance to get to know a Swede! And what better day than on Valentine’s day at Kalmar nation, the small nation with the big heart!

Skål mina vänner! Or, as you say abroad, cheese!
