Det står bortom allt tvivel. Den svenska sommaren är förbi och temperaturen går återigen mot inhumana nivåer. Trädgårdsfesten är över, men som alla bra kvällar fortsätter vi på annan ort. Och som alla riktiga efterfester går vi lite längre än vi borde göra. Trädgården har flyttat in på dansgolvet, housemusiken är högre och i baren serveras mojitos hela natten. Allt började med en podcast. Killen som startade Melbourne Deepcast skulle på bara ett par år bli en av de verkligt stora influenserna inom såväl Melbournes som Australiens housescen. Andy Harts produktioner drivs av jazz, discosamples och en fascination för rymden, eller med hans egna ord: deep space exploration. Det är ingen tillfällighet att Andy Hart ofta syns i samband med namn som Heist, Freerange och Dirt Crew – det senaste året har han varit baserad i Berlin och spelat över hela Europa. Innan återresan till Australien återstår bara några enstaka stopp, och vi är överlyckliga över att Kalmar nation är ett av dem.

Federico Icaza är mexikanen som flyttade från Mexico City till Berlin för att plugga ljudproduktion samtidigt som han driver skivbolaget Departures Records. Fedde är också ena halvan av duon Love Bites, men det är som soloartist karriären verkligen börjar ta fart – i somras släpptes EP’n Supermoon, som med bland annat en remix av Vakula plockades upp av Boiler Room debuts. Det är, utan att överdriva, helt genialiskt.

Andy Harts productions are driven by jazz, disco samples and a fascination for space, or with his own words: deep space exploration. It’s no coincidence that Andy Hart is often seen in connection with names like Heist, Freerange and Dirt Crew – the last year he’s been based in Berlin whilst playing all around Europe. Before returning to Australia he has just a few more stops to make, and we’re absolutely thrilled about the fact that Kalmar nation is one of them.

Federico Icaza is the Mexican who moved from Mexico City to Berlin to study sound production while also running the record label Departures Records. Being one half of the duo Love Bites, it’s as a solo artist that it’s really starting to take off for Fedde – this summer he released the EP Supermoon, which with a remix by Vakula (among others) was picked up by Boiler Room debuts. It is, without exaggerating, completely genius.
